Laura Boll is a graduate student and therapist at Chelsea University. She has a typical, boring life with typical, boring problems: her work is uninspiring, her roommate is rude and she can't seem to get a boyfriend. But Laura's boring life is thrown into disarray when she finds out one of her patients, Sylvia Blake, attempted suicide only hours after their last appointment. With Sylvia in a coma and no way to know her true motivation, Laura becomes obsessed with discovering Sylvia's secrets by whatever means necessary.
