A work of the present kind cannot lay claim to much originality, - the greater number of the descriptions having already been published elsewhere; but many of the species enumerated have not previously been recorded as inhabitants of Australian waters, and a very large number of new Australian localities for known Australian species are now here published for the first time. A short Introduction describing brie?y the chief structural characteristics of the Stalk and sessile-eyed Crustacea, has been added, and will, it is hoped, prove useful.
