Learning to read is hard work for many children - and very hard work for some. Budding Reader eBooks are designed to make reading more predictable. They help turn new readers (even reluctant ones) into successful readers by incorporating effective principles identified by the research of the National Reading Panel.
The first set in the Budding Reader series introduces the short "a" vowel sound and 11 simple words (and, at, can, cat, look, rat, see, stop, that, the, you) throughout 10 books. In total, the series introduces more than 60 simple words including dozens of common sight words.
