Honoring the wish of his dying father, Matt Keenan returns to his boyhood home in New Mexico and takes a position at the Santone Grant Company. He finds that things are much different now. Settlers are moving in, and they want the land that the company claims to own. The matter may be a legal one, but many take it personally and a deadly feud erupts between the settlers and the people of Santone Grant.
