Publisher's Synopsis

Two unofficial movies in the James Bond series. In 'Casino Royale' (1967), five directors and an all-star cast spoof the James Bond films in this comedy, very loosely based on Ian Fleming's first Bond novel. Sir James Bond (David Niven) is about to retire, but is called into battle with the evil organisation S.M.E.R.S.H. after the assassination of 'M' (John Huston). Bond's bungling nephew Jimmy (Woody Allen) becomes involved, and chaos ensues when Bond calls in other 007s to assist (including Peter Sellers, Terence Cooper and Ursula Andress, who starred in the first genuine Bond outing, 'Dr No'). In 'Never Say Never Again' (1983), Sean Connery returns - after a 12 year absence - to the role which made him famous, in this 'unofficial' Bond movie, made outside the auspices of regular producer Albert Broccoli and without any of the series' regular faces. A remake of the earlier Connery-Bond film 'Thunderball', it concerns the activities of the charming tycoon Largo (Klaus Maria Brandauer), in particular his threat to detonate a bunch of stolen nuclear warheads unless the world bows to his wishes. Bond is assigned to the case and sets about dealing with it in his own inimitable (but much imitated) manner. Barbara Carrera features as the gorgeous villain Fatima Blush and Kim Basinger appears as Bond girl Domino.
