Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Cases Argued and Determined in the St. Louis Court of Appeals of the State of Missouri, Vol. 1: From January 10, 1876, to April 10, 1876
It was considered that an appellate court adapted to the wants of St. Louis and some of the neighboring counties, comprising together more than one-third of the wealth, population, and commercial interests of the State, would so far divide the labors of the Supreme Court as to advance largely the general ends of justice, if not to satisfy fully the crying demand for its more speedy administration.
