Carla Alba is basically a science fiction tale. It tells the story of a series of characters, most of them young, constantly trying to find a way of improving and perfecting their lives. It is in itself, a colossal and tragic story of survival and the search of a girl who discovers that she is not human. It also talks about the contradictions between theology and science, always with the goal of seeking the truth from their particular points of view, at whatever the cost. But the central strand of the narrative focuses on the search for the father, not only physical but spiritual, the personal God that we all seek. The plot works within a system of legality of actions that will allow characters to discover the strange world in which they live: a supposedly planet Earth deserted and chaotic, where life is difficult, but thanks to human ingenuity, has achieved an acceptable standard of living, but cruel.
