This book is intended for students following the Caribbean Examinations Council, Secondary Education Certificate, syllabus for Biology. In this revised edition further material has been added to complete the full coverage of the syllabus. The book can also be used by students following the syllabuses of the Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate and the University of London. The content of "Carribean Biology - An Integrated Approach" has been written with the inclusion of biological material available to students in the Caribbean, both in the laboratory, in the land environment, and from the sea. The chapter on Ecology is devoted to specific Caribbean habitats, and examples of organisms quoted throughout the text are those with which students in the region will be familiar. However, the study of Biology should not be confined to one geographical region and reference is made to the organisms of other areas where necessary.
