Publisher's Synopsis

The popular capoeira and uplifting cachassa are important ingredients of Brazilian culture. It is a fascinating culture with many extremes. This country also has many wonderful natural treasures. Unfortunately, it also suffers from corruption, terrible poverty, and orphaned children. Bert has experienced all that is Brazil and shares his experiences in this book. Bert Kunnen (1950) was fascinated in his youth by politics and the processes that take place to control municipalities and provinces. He is currently a council clerk in the municipality of Coevorden. Over the years he has traveled a lot, dived into many diverse cultures and enjoyed interacting with the local people, nature and landscapes. He always records his impressions in his photos and travelogues. After a few other journalistic experiences he decided it was the time to publish his own travel book.
