BOOK DESCRIPTION: We all look back on our lives wondering what might have been. We ponder questions like, "What if I had made different choices?" "What minefields could I have avoided? Although these are fleeting reflections for most people, for a few of us they determine the course of our remaining days. After a business venture went terribly wrong, we found ourselves in just such a state of introspection. Health, wealth, and relationships had all been spent. So the question became, "What do we do now?" This book is a record of our journey as God turned ashes into beauty. Loss is loss. Divorce. Disease. Destruction. Betrayal. Bankruptcy. Death. They may each leave a different degree of aching in one's heart. However, they all require the same Lord to lead us out. Although we are private people, we publish these events to encourage you, our fellow traveler, who may be in need of a recovery of your own. BOOK FORMATTING DETAILS: We designed the book to be an "easy read." There are two reasons for this. First, if the reader chose the book because he or she is going through a difficult season, fatigue, stress, or medication can often affect eyesight. So in the print version, the font is slightly larger than normal. Second, if the book is a gift to someone who does not normally like to read, it is designed using smaller paragraphs and shorter chapters. In other words, it's an easy read so that peace, encouragement, and faith can quickly increase. REFERENCE NOTE: One hundred and nine Scripture references are listed in the Endnotes Section of the printed version. However, the Kindle version does not contain Endnotes.
