The Edmond Mansion lay just outside of town, towering into the horizon, full of closed off antiques and stories of mental patients and experiments gone wrong. Locked and secured against intruders for over a decade, the monolith served as a reminder to the town of one family's folly and fodder for the local teenagers fears and dares. With Halloween fast approaching, that mansion had taken on a new life, and a new interest for Cameron, a Freshman boy newly anointed on the football team. The team had gathered together, laying out their plan and backing it with $20 apiece. The dare was simple.... Stay in the mansion until midnight on Halloween. If Cameron could do that he would walk away much richer, basking in the glow of success and the admiration of the much older cheerleaders who smiled his way.
