Tim Caine was almost sixteen when his father was killed in one of the first battles of the American Civil War. His mother married out of necessity, which Tim was against. Shortly after the marriage, he noticed that the man was making sexual advances with his younger sister. Because his mother did not want to believe it, he ran away from home. After having experienced much, he would return home and hold his stepfather accountable for his wrongdoing. Cees Heijmans is a Dutchman with a secondary education. He has been a lover of well-written westerns since childhood. Most of his stories are related to the period after the American Civil War and the trek westward. Therefore, his stories always have a historical touch, making them more authentic. When writing, he often sees in his imagination how certain scenes take place and tries to describe them as vividly as possible.
