Clara doesn't believe in magic, but her mother has become obsessed with the hollow's magical plant. Running the family farm falls to Clara and her brother, while her mother shrinks ever deeper inside herself. Clara doesn't know how long she can keep their lives going, as each moment becomes more of a struggle. One day, Clara comes across a house near the river.
