This is the story of Captain David Singer who is in-charge of an elite police unit. The book explores the daily exploits of the Captain and delves into the pressure and frustrations that weigh heavy on Captain Singers' head. This is a hard-hitting story that goes behind the scenes to give the reader the taste of life, the stress, the dangers and the toughness to deal with police work. This book explores the motivation be-hind the sexual-macho behaviour of many cops by looking into the lives that they lived in double time and their disillusionment. Four separate puzzles starting with the title attempt to explain the enigma and frustration of police work. Although the story is set in 1973, the incidents described have occurred, could happen today or even tomorrow such as: Infidelity between male and female police officers; Unlawful use of a stun gun; Mass demonstrations and civil disobedience; Corruption; S and M exploits; Shooting of a police officer; Illegal, after-hours social clubs.
