Publisher's Synopsis

Namaste

I fell in love with Nepal around the same time that I met the man that, unbeknownst to me, would become my husband. The beauty of this country and its people touched my heart and soul in a way no other country had.

The idea for this book first came to me as I sat in a café in the busy streets of Kathmandu watching the world go by and relishing the depth of culture and colour all around me. Being an avid traveller I've always enjoyed the pauses along the way where you stand back and appreciate the culture of the city or the country you are in. It is during these moments I feel more inspired and open-minded than ever, and so I take the opportunity to journal the experience, the sights, smells and sounds.

Although not an artist I enjoy creative expression and as I scanned the area around me I started to imagine every aspect as a picture full of colour, and at the same time, I asked my husband to explain the meaning behind what I saw. I know that you can find it all in guide books and online but I prefer to look and learn when in the middle of it. And so the seed of 'Culture In Colour' was sewn. I hope you enjoy bringing out the artist inside you whilst learning about this beautiful country I am proud to call my second home.
