This work looks at different aspects of the sea and is part of the "Reading 2000" series, which is designed to be a forward-looking reading programme for juniors. It is a wide-ranging and practical package of materials designed to meet the language development needs of the 7-11+ age group. The programme comprises a selection of listening, talking, reading and writing activities which aim to give a base for further study. The series offers topic readers which link reading skills with environmental studies as part of a wider language programme.
