Buttermilk takes us to a time and place in which this secret, so jealously guarded, reveals itself under a set of unusual circumstances. That time is 1879 and the place is a water stop for the Union Pacific in the middle of Southern Wyoming. This is the story of a Chronicler, a stalking horse and his murderous owner, fast guns, greedy men, a young would be lawman, a preacher's daughter and most prominently a remarkable lady possessing skin the color of fresh buttermilk. A crime has been committed and all are caught in a deadly game of deception.
