Publisher's Synopsis
Carmen hates the big move that she is forced to make to a new state, but her brother, Quincy and mother, Janelle only want the best for her and their family. They decide to move to Hilltop Heights in the suburbs after escaping so much drama that they left behind in New York City, but drama seems to follow, once their mother is killed for an unknown reason and Quincy is kidnapped. Now, Carmen has set out to find her brother with the help of some friends. Along the way she finds out much more about her family that she did not know.
