Publisher's Synopsis
Emma Conroy has all the knowledge in her head and is diligent in study, but when she arrives at Butler School, however, she discovers that she has stage fright in the actual performance and fails time and time again.
On the contrary, Henry Walker, one of her classmates, doesn't even seem to want to be there, being less than meticulous in his attitude. He and Emma clash because she uses her head too much and this always gets her into trouble in the process, however he always seems to come off smelling like roses because of his more natural aptitude for work.
Emma learns that the reason Henry is doing well is that he is a legacy butler by inherited right, coming from a two-hundred-year line of butlers, but instead of following in his father's footsteps, as his father hopes, has other thoughts like a desired profession, that is, being a chef.
Mr. Willoughby, the director of the Academy, suggests that the two work together so that each can bring the necessary perspective and skill that the other does not have for the job. In the process, each can open each other's eyes to what they really want and possibly open each other's hearts as well to achieve it.
