Bumduggle (Barry) Davis and his best mate, Truong, are up to their ears in adventure again, assisted by Dotti, the mini foxie and Ping Pong, the sulphur crested cockatoo. First they're kidnapped and then get matching broken legs, thanks to Uncle Six and his golf club. A new girl at school, Aurora Lee, doesn't wear the school uniform and has purple streaks in her hair. Trudy and Kellie give her their lunch when she comes to school hungry. Dotti goes with the boys to a mine in Queensland where she helps find the body of Simon Lee, Aurora's dad. What did he hear about a wildlife smuggling operation? The action continues when Barry unmasks Van Son (Monsieur Vincent), one of a trio of villains finally exposed as members of a Chinese Triad. Finally, a wedding is in the air, but Barry is kept out of the loop until the last moment and everyone has a laugh at his expense.
