In a seaside town of steady decline, Billy is living a life with the man his mother married. He spends his days hiding from people, school and life. But he can't hide forever. His step-brother pushes against the power of his father and the fallout is one that will set in motion the change that needs to come. Billy sees that his life needs to change, that he needs to become something he has yet to be. But he has to navigate the consequences of other's actions in an attempt to make it through the day and escape unhurt and become someone adults have told him he can be.
