Publisher's Synopsis
Tommy McConnell, 20, and his brother Andy, 17, have just three days to deliver Milo, their massive, powerful, ill-tempered bull from their family's Oklahoma ranch to a buyer in New Mexico. If they miss the deadline, the deal is off and the bank will foreclose on the ranch, which has been in the family for three generations. The task falls to the boys when their father is badly injured trying to load Milo into the trailer.
What follows is an adventure that changes all their lives forever. From a wild Saturday night in the big city involving police and an obtrusive TV news crew, to a knock-down-drag-out brawl in a North Texas truckstop, to a midnight confrontation with rustlers, the boys have to find in themselves the grit, courage, and humor they didn't know they had. And then there's Cassie, a klutzy young truckstop waitress who saves the day--and shows Andy the ways of love, on her way back to L.A. to pursue her calling as a singer/songwriter. Bull By The Horns is a coming-of-age story, a hero's journey, a cowboy tale, and a romantic comedy all rolled into one.
