Publisher's Synopsis
As the architectural profession becomes more complex and demanding, practices are at times neglecting the mentoring of graduates and therefore retention levels vary considerably as a direct result of the priority, professional development is given.
As schools of architecture provide greater levels of mentoring and pastoral support, there is an expectation from graduates that are entering the profession that at Part 1 and Part 2/3, practices have systems and protocols in place to enable 'lifelong learning' especially in achieving Part 3 qualifications.
With the growth of the level 6 and level 7 apprenticeship, practices are expected to be both mentors and teachers providing evidence of learning criteria is being met. This book will help practices better understand their commitments and describe teaching and support methodologies.
