Publisher's Synopsis
An account of the harsh winter of 1947, and how the losses affected the shepherds and communities on Pumlumon. The upper Tywi valley was once a home to a community of agricultural workers, but after this harsh winter they vacated the area leaving it in the hands of the Forestry Commission, and wildlife. The author is the last remaining shepherd born in the area.
