About the Author


Jerrell Braxton is a retired School Social Worker and Clinical Psychotherapist. He has won multiple awards for his exceptional work such as Wisconsin School Social Worker of the Year (first and only Black male); MPS's "Red Apple" Exceptional Education Award; Kwanza Leadership Award and Milwaukee Times, 27th Black Excellence Award, to name a few.


Pictured with Jerrell Braxton are his four sons: Kareem, Shiron, Omar and Raymond Braxton along with his brother, Rasheed Sabir (RIP).
