Publisher's Synopsis

Brooklyn Memories is the story of a brother and sister who grew up in Brooklyn during the great depression. Jo and John Anselmo shared a railroad flat along with their parents, Frank and Anna Anselmo. Even thought there was little money, the Anselmo household was filled with love and laughter, thanks mostly to their mom Annie who delighted everyone with her funny stories and sparkling wit.

Jo and John grew up, married their neighborhood sweethearts and raised families, entertaining their children with stories of the old Brooklyn neighborhood and of their parents, Anna and Frank. Pop and Mom tried their best to give them a normal childhood, while at the same time just trying to provide them with the barest necessities. Jo and John have consented to shae their wonderful memories of Brooklyn, and perhaps take us back to a time when the best things in life were indeed "free".
