Broken is the first volume in a collection of titles called Broken Bleeding but still Beating. This collection contains a collection of 170 poems, epigrams and short essays about the process of breaking and being broken. The book addresses the importance of accountability in our own heartbreaks as well as accountability for the pain we may have caused others. The writings are accentuated throughout with 30 photographs taken from around the world featuring dilapidated buildings, abandoned vehicles and other items of curiosity and human interest. Broken Bleeding but still Beating is a work of art in itself. The power of healing is imperative and begins with acknowledging the breaks. Just as life is a journey, so is the process of healing, and healing only begins after we have been broken.
