This is the second ten-year supplement to "British Bibliography and Textual Criticism" (Volumes IV and V of the Index to British Literary Bibliography series), which covered the bibliographical and textual analysis of British literature from 1890 to 1969. Like the previous supplement (1970-1979), this two-volume set lists enumerative and descriptive bibliographies of British (non-scientific) subjects, as well as bibliographical and textual studies, published 1980-1989, of British books and authors. It provides a comprehensive bibliographical guide to the history of the book in Britain during this period, and contains additions and corrections to the previous supplement, as well as a large and precise index.
