Publisher's Synopsis
The Bible is loaded with stories rich in history, passion, and guidance for today's world. To harness their power from the past to the present can be a difficult and sometimes arduous process. However, using drama can bring those stories to life in a way that no lecture can. Drama is immersive, hands-on, memorable, emotional, and fun. It is a teaching tool like no other. Writing, producing, and directing a play can be simplified with a few directives, found in this booklet. It contains 16 plays based on scripture which have been produced in the recent past, and are appropriate for any Christian religion. Each play is prefaced with advice and ideas on how to make it successful and fun. It can take the worry and tension of delving into the theatrical arena away from the novice. The plays are geared to those with little or no acting skills, and can be used for Christmas, Epiphany, Easter, or in between; for Church School, Vacation Bible School, and special events for ages preschool, teens, adults, and seniors.
