Jon Francis was twenty-four years old when he vanished climbing the 9,733-foot Grand Mogul in the Sawtooth Mountain Range in Central Idaho on July 15, 2006. After a hasty and incomplete search, the sheriff's deputy told his family to, "give your son up to the mountain."
