Publisher's Synopsis
Brenda and Tim Mack are one of the amazing couples in the sporting world. Since they became one of bowling's all-time twosomes through marriage in 2005, the Mack's keep adding to a most impressive resume.
Brenda and Tim both bowled in college before striking out in other directions. Brenda was an all-american and national team champion while at the University of Nebraska before winning a single Women's Professional Bowlers title in 2002 at Terrre Haute, IN. That was before the women's tour disbanded shortly there after.
Tim was a walk-on football player at Penn State University under late coach Joe Paterno, whom he idolized, and as an amateur bowler competed in 43 diff erent countries and won numerous titles around the world. He also has become a Professional Bowler's Association member and enjoyed a two-decades long relationship with his Lil' Bit sweetheart, Brenda Mack.
The Mack's have had tremendous family support in raising their daughter Lana. Brenda's parents, Ted and Delores Norman who introduced Brenda to bowling at Beech Grove Bowl, often take care of Lana when Tim is around the world on bowling assignment and Brenda is working as a nurse at a downtown Indianapolis hospital.
Joan Mack Hough and her first husband, Jimmy Mack, had two sons James and Tim. They were an athletic family and remain staunch bowlers. Jimmy Mack was a successful professional bowler in the early days of the PBA - in the 70s mainly. Tim Mack has become known as Timmy Mack - a moving tribute to his father Jimmy Mack. Such PBA stalwarts as Carmen Salvino, Sean Rash, Jason Couch, Parker Bohn III, Pete Weber and Walter Ray Williams III always address Mack as Timmy.
