Publisher's Synopsis
The tasks in this text are modelled on the rubrics and task types in the new GCSE examination. Most, therefore, have French rubrics and require a response in French. A few of the more complex comprehension and interpretation tasks, and scenario settings for writing tasks and role-play contexts, are in English, as in the examination. A list of standard French rubrics is included to allow preparation for the exam.;There is one unit for each of the five Areas of Experience defined in the national curriculum orders for French. Within each unit, all four skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing - are covered through tasks which draw on sources and stimuli typical of the GCSE papers.
