It is your route to strength and fortitude. As I began to reflect on my military years, I could not help remembering spectacular veterans who had forever influenced and enriched my life. They were my source of inspiration during my own crossroads. I still cannot say enough about the men and women continuing to dutifully serve this nation despite the trials and risks it brings. Knowing the stories of others helped me realize that my own testimony is full of resilience. I hope my own stories through womanhood, overcoming racial adversity, and faith will help motivate you to reflect on your own heroic bra, bootstrap, and Bible stories.
