Publisher's Synopsis
This work collects and disseminates novel information on the visualization of brain transmitters and their receptors. The techniques used include quantitive receptor autoradiography, 2-deoxyglocose (metabolic) autoradiography, immunochemistry, in-situ cDNA hybridization and positron emission tomography (known as PET).;The book is the first of its kind to present the above techniques in this way, and to apply such techniques to the study of neuronal communication in such a quantitative and multifactorial framework. It will appeal to a wide range of brain imaging analysis and neuroscientists, reflecting the research results of some of the world's leading brain imaging experts.
