Publisher's Synopsis
Matt, Lord of Mort Lake and his battle-weary horse, Squire escape a vicious skirmish to find themselves in a time bubble inhabited by a great wizard, who trains Matt in the ways of magic. Whilst mastering his new skills, Matt meets a talking magic book, a beautiful female bodyguard, an enormous dragon and a platoon of stone warriors. On the way to becoming a powerful sorcerer, Matt - with the help of his new friends - battles an evil warlock and his army of ghouls, reanimates a long-sleeping dragon, rescues a siren-singing nymph, out-wits a scheming shape-shifter and balances good and evil before fulfilling his destiny.
