Publisher's Synopsis
Psalms Book One, is a very precious book in the Bible. Many gospel songs that are we hear today came from the book of Psalms. Byron Cage sings Psalm 3 so eloquently. Have you ever heard it? Steven Heard arranged Psalm 61 to music for this generation. He sings when my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. When I am depressed, discouraged or just not feeling my best, I always try to find a song that will drive away the bad feelings. This is the purpose for sharing Psalms right now. To share with you how it is important to find a song when you are discouraged.
When King Saul in the Bible was vexed by an evil spirit, he hired a psalmist to come in and play the harp to drive away the evil spirit. Do you know who that psalmist was? It was David, the sweet psalmist of Israel. David was not only a warrior, but he was a gentle musician who with his songs could drive out evil spirits. We are going to begin with Book One of Psalms which would be Psalms 1-41. Let's begin this journey in the Book of Psalms Series for the Youths.
