The first unit of Bon dÞpart (PremiÞres impressions) is about your first impressions when you arrive in Avignon, a typical French town, with a French friend. After arriving at Avignon station, you go to a cafÚ in the main square for breakfast, passing through a market on the way. Then you stop at abureau de tabac to buy some postcards and stamps.Throughout the unit we will help you develop strategies for reading, building up your vocabulary and listening to and participating in conversation.The second unit (En ville) helps you to acquire the basic language to find your way around a French town. You will learn how to understand and give directions, ask about accommodation, book a hotel room at the touristinformation office and get information about what to see and do in the local area. You will visit some museums in Avignon and buy a film for your camera. By the end of the unit, you will feel more confident about understanding and giving information about towns, seeking clarification and dealing with numbers.
