Publisher's Synopsis
This pack contains Units 5-8 which make up Block 2.Unit 5 The Class TurtleThis unit describes a class Turtle whose objects are able to draw certain figures in two dimensions. In doing this, further explored are some general issues concerning the implementation of classes. The use of the name Turtle for this new class is no accident. It is an M263 version of the sort of commands available in the programming language LOGO.Unit 6 Classes Vector & mString This unit is concerned with sequence-based collection classes. Unit 7 The Class Set In this unit various processes on sets (collections without an inherent order to their members) are introduced. These processes will be incorporated in a class Set of X, thus making them available in code.Unit 8 Binary TreesIn this unit an important form of collection that is not linear, called a tree, is considered. Tree structures are extensively used in computing. A tree structure stores a collection in a way that is most naturally shown graphically. It is recommended that you purchase the Building Blocks of Software CD-ROM (order code M263/CDR1027) if you wish to complete the activities in each unit.
