Peter (Nesbitt) is a former workaholic city trader who begins a reclusive new life as a lighthouse keeper on a small Scottish island following the death of his wife (Natascha McElhone) and two daughters. His only point of contact with the outside world is Howie (Gary Lewis), who delivers his supplies every few months.
