The seven bearers of the seven stones of power broke the enchantment that freed their hereditary castle of Iodha. They ruled Kildonan from the castle for just one year before our tale begins. The Stonebearers discover that an ancient threat, Darke Magick, undermines their powers and works to seize their land of Kildonan. Not only that, but the challenger has loosed upon the land the ancient scourge, the Horde, mindless thralls that kill by suffocating their victims. The thralls can only be overcome by the magick rays from the Seven Stones, or by-fire! Along with the seven Stonebearers, a fyr derrig elf, a flying cat, a shapeshifter white bear, a king without a kingdom, and a baker strive to save Kildonan. That's not many against the Darke!
