From The Author...I have always been captivated by sci-fi/fantasy movies, television, and comics. grew up on a steady breakfast of Saturday morning cartoons, guilty pleasures of cheesy VHS rentals, and evening meals of space explorers, talking cars and bionic superheroes. I like for a story to have it's own logic and truth, at least enough to keep a person interested, at the same time I'm perfectly open to leaving my brain at the door, as they say. I enjoy the narrative voice of Stephen King's work; the intensely visual writing of Michael Crichton; and the absurd logic and humor of Douglas Adams. I may be one of the few people on earth who hasn't read J.K. Rowling's work however her uphill battle and ultimate success has given me every reason to be hopeful about my own journey as a writer. I enjoy having my mind blown by the clarity of Alan Watts. For me, writing is an escape and an exploration. On those occasions when the ideas are really flowing, it feels like I'm taking dictation more than making this stuff up. And even then it's still only my interpretation of the events. It may very well take on a different truth to the reader. I hope you enjoy reading my first novel as much as I enjoyed writing it. It was a collaborative effort between myself and a trusted group of friends and colleagues. The first step for me on the road to becoming a writer. No doubt there will be varying opinions along the way, At the end of the day, I can only write from one voice, my own. I don't know why anyone would write in anyone else's. I appreciate the opportunity to entertain you. BIG BAD WOLVES (c) Rodney Thomas Coreau 2018
"Playful, humorous, and utterly delightful. Big Bad Wolves is a fairy tale for adults to get lost in. The world building is superb, and the characters complex. This action-adventure fantasy is filled with some of our favorite characters, such as King Arthur, the beloved wizard Merlin, little red riding hood, among a plethora of others, yet with a modern twist on character interaction. Dialogue is current and quite witty. The plot skillfully evolves, incorporating a variety of fairy-tale favorites and intertwining the stories. The omni perspective narrative gave this book a great deal of depth. This story reminded me of The Princess Bride, in terms of a medieval style story meeting modern-day humor and incorporating a modern-day timeline. The blending of realities made for some very hilarious moments. Overall, an excellent and enjoyable read." -Amanda Rose, Fire Fury Saga Author
