In der Umschreibung des Sanskrit babe ich für s der beiden ersten Auflagen wieder das alte gute angewendet, ausserdem das vocalische r wieder durch 3 bezeichnet. Für die indogermanische Ursprache sind mir g 1p, blos Zeichen, deren genaue und wirkliche Aussprache wir für jene Zeit noch nicht ermittelt haben; andere mögen ar, ra u. S. W. Vorziehen, was auch nicht schöner aussieht: weder ihre Geltung als reine Sonanten noch die als Liquidae und N asale mit einem Schwa ist bis jetzt irgendwie sicher erwiesen.
