Ten years after the fall of the goblins, Carly, now a proud Vampa, has long parted with her past, and prefers to keep it that way. Heartbroken, penniless, and unemployed, Teddy feels like an outsider in his sister's new life. Carly tries to help Teddy, but she has problems of her own, as she is a mother now. Things seem to pick up for Teddy when he is offered a questionable job at the mysterious restaurant, The Serving Shallows. Creepiness aside, the pay is more than enough to help him get back on his feet. Then, Teddy discovers a hidden tunnel beneath the deep frier, uncovering the horrifying truth behind his new boss. After befriending a hostage, Teddy devotes himself to saving her before it's too late. Meanwhile, Carly's past returns to haunt her in ways she never imagined were possible. When Will and her baby are put in danger, Carly teams up with Teddy and a familiar face to stop a fatal revolution dead in its tracks.
