Publisher's Synopsis
There are a lot of problems with today's society. Many people are not satisfied with the current state of society but are unable to figure out exactly what is wrong. The author believes that these problems have occurred due to the systematic deficiencies in how we make decisions in a democracy: majority rule. Instead of solving these problems one by one, we should solve the fundamental cause of the problems. To this end, the author has analyzed the flaws in the political system caused by majority rule and is suggesting implementing a new decision-making mechanism known as the "logical system," which focuses on a mixture of logical reasoning and voting to pass bills. Under the logical system, all debates can be solved by logical reasoning backed up by a universal system of values. The author then moves on to suggest the factors that should be considered during the construction of the logical system.
