Publisher's Synopsis
The Earth lay in ruins. Her once shining and beautiful cities were gone. Her strongest armies had been defeated without firing a shot. Countless millions were dead. Only scattered bands of people survive. Carson, a rouge adventurer and Stephanie, a university professor have no military experience at all. Things have changed though. Together, they form these groups of people scattered around the world, into fighting units. The aliens soon find that it was a mistake trying to subjugate this world. Humans do not know the meaning of defeat but they sure know the meaning of vengeance. All around the survivors is ruin, slaughter and the threat of enslavement. Even so, human spirit rises and love blossoms.
