Publisher's Synopsis
Two-lifetime friends go missing while on a hunt for mushrooms. While searching for the men, the sheriff and a trapper go into a cave to look for them, only to be killed in a collapse triggered by a mysterious beast with alien-like features. Did the beast also have something to do with the disappearance of the mushroom hunters, or was it something even more mysterious? The mystery deepens with the arrival of the army, who fenced off the area and made it off-limits to all civilians. What is the army trying to hide? Are more of the beasts out there, or something even more dangerous? A week later, the missing mushroom hunters are found hundreds of miles away with no memory of how they got there. Meanwhile, two mysterious men arrive in town looking for the new sheriff to warn him of the approaching planet of Nibiru and its lingering threat to humanity. Is it the end of the world or a new beginning?
