He would stare at her while she danced around and crushed the grapes under her feet. However, he felt hopeless being just a part-time worker in that vineyard. Much worse, Catarina is the wife of the owner of the place he is working at. Meanwhile, in another part of the world, Faith listens patiently to her client as the latter pours his heart out about the divorce. She was about done for the day and would join her fiancee in a party afterwards. She rushed to his side only to find out about a painful secret hidden by the guy she thought was the one meant for her. Soon enough, more unexpected events happened and as these stories unfold, the people become more intertwined and connected, love being the root of it all. This is by far one of the best romantic stories I have ever read. This was so effective that I was swept away like a maiden falling for her knight in shining armor. The novel is romantic without being too cheesy. The love stories, though different, are successfully connected and produce something magical. The characters and their personalities are realistic. They fit in seamlessly in the story. Apart from that, the little but important details are incorporated by the author pretty well. Their presence are not overpowering but they are hard to miss. They made me feel the wonderful atmosphere. All in all, this book is hard to put down. Whoever reads this will refuse to leave wherever he is until the story has concluded. That is how moving "Beneath the Bridge of Sighs" is. This is definitely a must read.
