This is a heart-warming novel that tells the story of a 9 year old Chinese girl who moved to Canada. She fall in love with piano, but her family didn't have enough means to get her a teacher. She encountered a famous pianist, Mr. Mergler who agreed to teach her. However, his life is sun setting as he dragged his illed body to teach her. Under her guidance, her skills in piano gets better and started to use masic to decorate the world and the souls.
