Sam Appleby's father won't let him have any war toys, but when Buckbounder, a notorious bank robber with springs on his shoes to help him escape, tries to rob the bank while Sam and his father are there, they discover that a balloon, a sunflower, and a chocolate cake can be powerful weapons.
