Why are bears from a radio-collar population study disappearing? The collars mysteriously stop transmitting. A bear carcass found in a dumpster is missing its gall bladder, some teeth, and claws. A bear and radio-collar disappear, and an old man is found dead near where the bear had been hanging out. The man had died from the same anesthetic that had killed the dumpster bear. The O'Flaithearta Biological team contracted to do a similar bear study, but with satellite collars. Their bears also start disappearing. The Nevada Department of Wildlife, California Fish and Wildlife, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the FBI all get involved in the poaching and murder investigation.
